Goodbye to 2020

This year has been one of the most unexpected, wild, crazy, and fulfilling years that I’m sure EVERYONE has ever had. Due to the virus, travel plans were ruined and the future of travel as a whole will look completely different in years to come.

Personally, I’ve had lots of time to reflect back on trips that I was supposed to take or ones that I wanted to make. Even though I would’ve obviously enjoyed myself, I realized that I’ve been fortunate enough to even make travel plans pre-COVID-19 and I’m grateful for the experiences that I’ve had. Once mandates were implemented in large cities, I still had the opportunity to make a few small trips with friends to nurture my wanderlust, and again I am grateful for those experiences. From having to wear a mask (and usually forgetting to put it on before entering a building), to using more hand sanitizer than I’ve ever used, to making sure I’m socially distanced from others, and to having longer wait times in order to socially distance, it’s been quite a year!

I want to be optimistic and I pray that things start to get better in 2021. One of my goals for next year is to continue to post and write more of my past travel experiences and to hopefully add new content of trips that I’m able to take in 2021! If you have any future travel plans, PLEASE be sure to follow any COVID-19 precautions!

Cheers to more safe travel adventures in 2021!
